* cultural undertakings "Akademická Nitra" and "Akademický Zvolen" are two related academic festivals with international participation. They take place every year at the end of June in one of two towns respectively (Nitra or Zvolen). It is a competition of Slovak University Ensembles. There is one major prize (Laureate) and four or five other prizes awarded each year. The artistic quality of the festival is very high and a prize from this festival is nowadays a very important market trader of Slovak ensembles.
